And now for the rebuttal...

Glenn Beck last night offered a sequel to his battle of the bloviators with James Cameron, responding to the director's assertion that Beck is, simply and succinctly put, an "a--hole."

So Beck wound himself up and let loose—and just in case there was any question over how much he was enjoying the attention, he did so while donning a pair of 3-D glasses and scrolling a list of famous faces that had previously been inducted into the "I Hate Glenn Beck Club."

As for Beck's "Antichrist" comment that allegedly sparked the bad blood, Beck confirmed he once met Cameron about three years ago in a makeup chair, but claims to have forgotten the entire meeting. But not so much, apparently, that he was unable to deny that he ever said anything negative to Cameron's face.

But then he went on to say something we never thought we'd hear from Glenn Beck's mouth.

"If I did say anything to you, James, in person, I'm sorry, I can't imagine." An apology? From Beck? Well, it's not often you get to witness history.

Still, the moment was short-lived. Beck went on to trace the history of his "Antichrist" comment, dating it back to a 2007 episode of his then little-watched show. Incidentally, after quoting himself, he again reiterated the point, repeating anew his belief that Cameron, due to the "pure evil" that Beck believed was required to direct Titanic, along with that Céline Dion song, was a definite contender for the Antichrist title.

But that wasn't the best part.

"The best part is this guy has carried this joke around with him for three long years. The guy's making a billion dollars on a Smurf-murdering movie and he's stewing about a joke nobody's heard on a network nobody watched.

"It's time to walk away from the CGI for a minute, Jim. Just for a second."

Oh, we're sure he will. Just long enough to respond.
