Another sad loss summed up in paperwork.

The cause of Corey Haim's death remains officially up in the air pending the final autopsy report, according to the death certificate released today by the L.A. County Coroner's Office, which notes the immediate cause as "deferred."

While Haim's mom, Judy, has said that she was personally informed her son died of pulmonary congestion and an enlarged heart, what exactly led to the 38-year-old's condition remains unknown.

He had been experiencing flu-like symptoms before he collapsed at home in the early morning hours of March 10.

Investigators found four prescription medications at Haim's home. No illegal drugs turned up, though it's since been confirmed that Haim had obtained an illegally written Rx for OxyContin. It's unclear whether he ever filled it.
