President Obama better watch out: Kathy Griffin is headed for Washington, D.C.
And she's not very happy.
Our favorite ginger funnylady is heading up a gay rights rally in our nation's capital later this week…
"I'm organizing a rally to help repeal the antiquated policy of 'don't ask, don't tell,' " she wrote in a post earlier today on her official website. "All you have to do is show up! Spread the word."
Griffin is meeting with "several legislators" while she's in D.C., "but it's the average American citizen and their constituents are who they REALLY listen to."
The rally, set to kickoff at noon on Thursday at Freedom Plaza, will be filmed for her reality series My Life on the D-List for next season's "serious episode."
Griffin targeted Don't Ask, Don't Tell after meeting closeted troops while performing for them in Iraq and Afghanistan and visiting injured vets at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center.
"They cannot stand up for themselves, so it's time we stand up for them and be their voice," she wrote. "They put their lives on the line for us every day, all the while risking getting fired, discharged, losing all their benefits and maybe even worse, just for being 'found out.' "
