Toy Story 3 Spoilers...in Toy Form

    Toy Story Train Disney/Mattel

Where would Woody, Buzz Lightyear and the rest of the Toy Story 3 gang feel right at home? Welcome to Toy Fair.

TS3 toys of all shapes and sizes—action figures, plush dolls, role-playing gadgets, games—were all the rage at the toy industry's annual confab, which kicked off Sunday at New York City's Javits Center and ends Wednesday.

The movie, which finds Disney-Pixar's beloved toy-box friends left in a day-care center after Andy heads to college, doesn't hit theaters until June 18. But their real-life toy counterparts couldn't be more ubiquitous amid Toy Fair's honeycombed booths as manufacturers looked to capitalize on the enduring popularity of the franchise...to infinity and beyond.

Toy giant Mattel is offering up a treasure trove of Toy Story 3 playthings, including action figures of the main characters and some new characters, like Lots-O'-Huggin' Bear; action play sets and role-playing goodies like the Toy Story Ultra Blast Gauntlet, the Toy Story 3 Buzz Lightyear Deluxe Action Wing Pack that kids can wear like a backpack à la Buzz; and the Toy Story Buzz Lightyear Cosmic Blaster, which has cool lights and sound effects and shoots projectiles.

For those who haven't seen the trailer, there are also some high-profile additions to Woody's crew in the form of Barbie and Ken, which shows the iconic dolls meeting for the first time. Hence the Barbie Toy Story 3 Made for Each Other gift set and Toy Story 3 Barbie Loves...Fashion Dolls Assortment.

Here's a quick rundown of some of the rest:

    • Mattel rival Hasbro is releasing its own Toy Story 3 line that features plush dolls; an updated electronic-talking Mr. Potato Head, as well as spud versions of Buzz, Woody and Jessie; and such games as Buzz Lightyear Operation, the saddle-stacking game of Buckaroo with Bullseye the horse, Toy Story twists on Yahtzee Jr. and Memory, and a Toy Story 3 Space Shooter in which players can use an authentic Space Ranger foam disc blaster.
    • In May, Lego is launching a variety of new Toy Story 3 building sets, including the supersize Lego Western Train, based on a big action sequence in the film. To mark the occasion, Pixar's visionary founder and Toy Story helmer John Lasseter and actor John Ratzenberger, who voices Hamm the Piggy Bank, were on hand Sunday to kick off Toy Fair and introduce the latest trailer and new characters. Lasseter was also inducted into the Toy Hall of Fame.
    • Cardinal Industries is putting out a Toy Story 3 Game and Puzzle Tin, a Toy Story 3 Alien Spaceship 3 Game Tub, dominoes, pick-up sticks, a gone-fishing game and bingo.
    • JAKKS Pacific unveiled a line of Halloween costumes and dress-up outfits of everyone's favorite characters as well as Toy Story play furniture.
