Somewhere, P.T. Barnum is no doubt enjoying himself. Because, as American Idol proves week after week, the public still loves a good old-fashioned freak show.

No, Simon Cowell and company aren't trotting out two-headed babies (that's on the Discovery Channel), but A.I. does offer oddities like this guy, who reaches new lows on Cheap Trick's "Surrender." And that's a good thing.

And in the Not Good Thing Dept., if Tiger Woods was a spider, Wendy Williams would be in deep trouble with PETA. Assuming PETA cares about abusing nonfurry creatures.

Speaking of nonfurry creatures, fabulous Joel McHale brings you a big hunk of fresh Soup tonight at 10 ET/PT.
