Morning Piss: Sarah Palin, Heard of Haiti?

While Palin decries common sense in her new Fox gig, common decency appears ignored

Many of you were incensed over yesterday's Morning Piss including, Susan, who wrote: "Ted, shut up. Stick to the vapid world that you know best: Hollywood."

Uh, ain't gonna happen.

Look, Susie, I wasn't the only one who noticed Palin and her Bill O'Reilly types virtually ignoring the devastation of Haiti while choosing instead to bash Obama and sell conservative politics.

(For the recod, I have only tweeted my concern for Haitian relief up until now, and this is my first official post in A.T., but I'm hardly a politician wrapping herself in Fox News clothing until she guns for the White House again.)

The point is, it's hardly a liberal or a conservative viewpoint to help our global neighbors who are suffering so badly. George Clooney knows how. Wyclef Jean does, too. And Alyssa Milano even gave $50,000 of her own money and is begging others to donate as generously.

Many, many other celebrities—and politicians, certainly, including Obama—have voiced concern, as well. Why couldn't Palin have swung an even halfhearted benevolent bone down Haiti's way instead of bitching about a president who just won a Nobel Peace Prize, by the by.

No sassy comeback here, babes, just asking, plain and simple. Like Sarah.
