You know it's a bad sign when your own rep dumps you.

Tila Tequila's beleaguered publicist, Jessica Cohen, has announced she will no longer be representing the erratic reality star in the wake of the ongoing media storm stoked by Tequila following the death of her fiancée, Casey Johnson.

"This is to inform you that I am no longer representing Tila Tequila as her publicist," wrote the rep in a not-so-shocking note today. "Some matters need to remain private and away from media attention and due to recent events, I realized that we need to part ways while she deals with the loss of her fiancée. I will forward any remaining inquiries to her until the new publicist takes over."

Sounds like an amicable parting, right? Wrong! Read on.

Tequila was booked to appear on CNN's Larry King Live Monday, but King opted to pull the plug at the last minute.

While CNN claimed it was to accommodate a bigger guest, the timing was curious, coming after the cable net was petitioned by Johnson's family and friends not to give Tequila a forum. A lawyer for one of the late socialite's exes, Jasmine Lennard, even sent a letter to CNN threatening possible legal action.

Before that, Tequila accused Johnson pals Nicky Hilton and Bijou Phillips of wanting to put Casey's dogs to sleep when they came to collect some belongings on behalf of Johnson's family.

Given her client's trainwreck behavior and history for unsubstantiated accusations (we didn't even mention that he-said, she-said spat with ex-beau Shawne Merriman that landed her on the wrong end of a lawsuit), Cohen understandably has had enough.

"Thank you for bearing with me during all of this," she concludes.

In an exclusive statement given to E! News, Tequila sounds off, claiming Cohen couldn't handle the stress and the "high level of media attention" (she "usually does boutique things") and just "kinda freaked out."

"She had certain things that she wanted me to do, and I had certain things that I wanted to do. It just got to the point where we just decided to part ways because I told her I'm not someone you should mold into someone else. That's just not true to who I am," said the 28-year-old TV personality, who apparently has never heard of the phrase "damage control."

"If you wanted to mold or package me, you should have done that when I was 16 and might as well have me join the micky [sic] Mouse club too while you're at it, then take over all of your money when you grow up and have you tell people you're a virgin when you're not. Well that was pretty much it.  Her and I just wanted different things. I just wanted to stay true to who I really am."

Perhaps Britney Spears can suggest a rep for her?
