Stick a fork in them—Jon and Kate Gosselin are done.

Nearly six months after the infamous reality couple offered the "very special"—and very televised—announcement that they had filed to dissolve their 10-year marriage, their split was, as expected, made official today.

"The no-fault divorce was entered by mutual agreement of the parties and was based on irretrievable breakdown of the marriage," reads a statement from Kate's camp.

"I am very relieved that our divorce has been finalized, and I look forward to the New Year, focusing on the children," says Kate. "This has been a challenging transition for all of us, but I am confident that we will move ahead with the important task of restructuring our lives."

While the finer points of the divorce remain confidential, the arbitrator-approved settlement includes "the equitable distribution of marital property and the payment of child support," per Team Kate. She has been granted possession of the family home in Pennsylvania and will remain there with their eight children.

No word yet from Jon's attorney Mark Heller, who had insisted earlier this week that the split would not be finalized until after the New Year.

Meanwhile, in a brief comment to HollywoodLife.com, Jon would only say, "I don't want to lose my children."

Of course, Jon has been muzzled for weeks, since the judge in TLC's court battle with Jon granted an injunction barring him from making TV appearances.

Now that's what we call an early Christmas gift.
