Now retired from acting, the 77-year-old jewelry-loving thesp has battled several ailments over the years from having a benign brain tumor removed, both hips replaced and successfuls bout with skin cancer and pneumonia. She's largely confined to a wheelchair from years of back pain.
She was most recently hospitalized last May for what her publicist said was a routine checkup, but appeared in good health when she attended last month's burial service for longtime friend Michael Jackson.
