Anne Heche: No Wedding to Baby's "Incredible" Dad

Hung actress says she has no plans to walk down the aisle

Anne Heche doesn't plan on taking another walk down the aisle any time soon.

Although the 40-year-old actress and her former Men in Trees costar James Tupper, 44, have been dating for two years, she feels no need to make things official with a marriage certificate.

"I hope not!" Heche told reporters last night at Judith Leiber's Rodeo Drive store opening when asked if she and Tupper are planning to marry. "I want to stay in love."

Besides, Heche is busy enough with caring for her two sons...

Heche and Tupper welcomed their first child, Atlas Heche Tupper, together in March.

"Tonight, he pursed his lips at me when I was getting my hair and makeup done," Heche cooed. "He kind of raised his brow. It was really cute."

As for Tupper as daddy, Heche said, "He's the most incredible dad. He's so wonderful. He deserved to have one of his own."

Heche's 7-year-old son, Homer, with ex-husband Coley Laffoon is really digging his younger brother.

"Oh, my God! It's so cute. It's so crazy," Heche said. "Homer loves to pat his head and makes faces at him to make him laugh. It's really something else and really sweet."

Also at the party, Sanaa Lathan talked about her new animated series, The Cleveland Show, a spinoff of megahit Family Guy.

"You can't believe what these little characters are saying, but at the same time it has a little more heart than Family Guy," Lathan said. "It's so much fun, [but] it's weird because you can go to work and be in your sweats and you are in and out in an hour."
