Dancing With the Stars hoofer keeps things close with his ex-girlfriend

In addition to hefty gift bags, last night's ET/People partygoers got a little extra love from Mary J. Blige. The singer performed at the Emmy bash, held at the Vibiana, while Samantha Ronson worked the turntables.

Dancing With the Stars' Derek Hough came sans ex-girlfriend Shannon Elizabeth, who he got cozy with Friday at the Family Guy pre-Emmy party.

"We're still really great friends," he explained to me. "We go out, we hang out. She's my girl, man, and I still love her to death and we remain friends."

But it doesn't sound like a reconciliation is in the works...

"I think we're pretty happy with our relationship right now, and we're at different places in our lives," he said.

Also spotted celebrating at the bash: Maxim Chmerkovskiy, Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, 90210's Jessica Stroup and E!'s own Joel McHale.

Neil Patrick Harris, January Jones, Ryan Kwanten, Kellan Lutz, Jennifer Love Hewitt and Jamie Kennedy all scored Cole Haan gift bags stuffed with swag, including a free stay at the Grand Wailea Resort in Maui.

So those goodies may not be as cool as the Emmy trophies Toni Colette and Jon Cryer brought to the party, but at least none of the guests went home empty-handed.
