A source close to the duo tells E! News that Lohan and Samantha Ronson happen to be moving at the same time because both are sick of the constant paparazzi presence outside their respective houses.
We hear that Lohan, who has movers coming Friday to transport all her stuff from her rented Hollywood Hills home to a more secure high-rise apartment in Los Angeles, had been planning her relocation even before the latest break-in.
"That way, in a building, she can have a doorman and be a lot safer," the source said.
Early on the morning of Aug. 23, Lohan came home to find a door off its hinges and her safe ripped out of the wall. Police are still trying to identify three suspects who were photographed by surveillance cameras on the property.
"I'm sorry i haven't been on in a bit," she twittered Wednesday. "My life has been kind of in shambles considering my house was broken into and i feel really violated."
Who can blame her?
Ronson hasn't had her space invaded in the same way, but having to face a bunch of flashbulbs whenever she walks outside hasn't been particularly fun for her, either.
So she's moving out of her rented Hollywood Hills abode, which currently has a "for lease" sign hanging out front, and is also headed for an L.A. high-rise. Hmm...
But we've been assured that Lohan and Ronson are not moving into the same building.
"That would be disastrous," our source said. "Everyone else in the building would move out."
