In case you missed American Idol's elimination show last night, the tattooed, blond, quirky girl Megan Joy cawed and flapped her arms like a bird as she took her bottom-three stool.

Did the 22-year-old lose her mind or was she rewinding (for what reason?) her bad performance of Bobby Day's "Rockin' Robin" (Tweet! Tweet!) a few weeks back? And what does she make of her own brother interrupting the Tuesday night taping to heckle judge Kara DioGuardi? (He's the one who shouted out, "broken record!" after Kara gave her comments.)

We needed to know. So we asked the booted Idol on her goodbye press conference call this morning. Read on to what she has to say...

On Cawing and Flapping Her Wings: "I love birds and bird noises, and I just decided that if I'm going out, I'm going out with a bang. I'm just gonna be myself. I flew the whole time. I'm always just making noises, and animal noises, and [Allison Iraheta and Anoop Desai] were like, 'Meg, if you go tonight, we're going to caw for you and support you.' So I [said to them after they were safe], 'Don't you forget to caw, Anoop.' "

On Saying She 'Didn't Care': When asked Wednesday night what she thought of Simon's criticism of her, Megan flippantly said she "didn't care." Now, she explains, "I care about the competition. I didn't want people to misunderstand me not caring. I just didn't care that Simon didn't like my song. So, I couldn't help but be honest."

On Her Brother's Heckling: "I'm always proud of my brother [C.J.]," she says. "He's my boy. And he was like me, he can't help but be himself. I wasn't surprised at all that he did it. It cracked me up. I was glad that Kara ended up taking it lightheartedly." Did she agree with the "broken record" comment? Answer: yes. "Well, we do hear that comment a lot, you know. It kind of gets, like, well, 'All right, we already know that.' "

On the Kara-Brother Fight: On the commercial break after Kara got heckled by C.J., the judge went up to her heckler and had words with him. "I think she was just kind of like, 'How dare you? Who do you think you are?' And then she was like, 'Who are you?' He's like, 'Her brother.' And then she was like, 'Oooh. I see.' It was kind of funny."

On Her Most Memorable Night: "The night I was sick. The miracle that I actually got through my song because I was literally was laying on the ground with IVs in me [30 minutes] before."

On Her Goals: "I wanted to make the tour. That was my only goal." Her other goal, according to her bio on the American Idol website, is to appear on the Nick Jr./Noggin  children's show Yo Gabba Gabba!. "It's just pure genius. If I could be on it, I would do anything. I would do [their segments] Cool Tricks or the Super Music Friend Show. I'd do anything. I'd do the Dancey Dance." She would also love to act, do cartoons or do voice work. "I like doing voices."

On Reuniting With Son Ryder: "I'm gonna hold him for as long as he'll let me, and I'm going to try not to sob like a lunatic because I'm sure he'll just be confused and scared. It's going to be beautiful. I cannot wait." She adds that she doesn't get to go home until "hopefully Wednesday" because she has to "wrap things up here" and finish doing press.

On the Haters: "I learned that there's always going to be negative people—haters if you will—that try to bring you down, but you just got to forget about 'em and move past it, always."

On Her Next Tattoo: "I had a lucky ring that I've worn the entire time, and I'm going to have that tattooed on my ribs." (Ouch!)

Is it us, or did you think that Megan Joy went out with just a bit too much attitude Wednesday night? Cawing: love it or hate it? Would you buy her record?
