InstagramMariah Carey and Nick Cannon continue to remain friendly exes, recently reuniting for a dinner with their 5-year-old twins, Moroccan and Monroe.
Cannon 35, posted on his Instagram page Thursday a photo of the four smiling at a restaurant table at the Hard Rock Cafe at Universal Studios Hollywood's CityWalk. Cannon had hosted a stage event there that evening.
"A little dinner after Karate Class!!" he wrote.
The four met up just days ahead of Mother's Day.
Cannon had filed for divorce from Carey, 46, in December 2014. They have occasionally reunited, with their children, since their separation.
Carey recently began a month-long break after finishing her Sweet Sweet Fantasy tour. She is set to return to Las Vegas in June to resume her Mariah Carey #1 to Infinity residency show at the Caesar's Palace Hotel & Casino.
Cannon and Carey wed almost exactly eight year ago, on April 30, 2008. Their son and daughter were born on the same date, three years later.
Last year, Carey began dating Australian billionaire James Packer, 48. He had split from second wife Erica Baxter, 38, in 2013. The two share three children.
Packer and Carey got engaged in January. He proposed to her with a 35-carat diamond engagement ring.
"It's so heavy I can't lift my arm up!" Carey joked to E! News.
She and Packer have not announced a wedding date. She said the two planned on having a "humble" wedding. She also sang the praises of her fiancé, calling him "the guy people go to even if they are barely friends with him, and they look to him to get them through any situation."
"He's one of those people that just always is there for people," she said. "And I think that is a quality that I haven't seen—except in myself."
A source had told E! News Cannon was not given a heads up about the engagement but he did know "they would most likely get engaged" and is happy for the couple.
"Nick's children like Packer and he treats them well, so that's what he cares about," the source added. "Nick is on very good terms with Carey. Nick is really just focused on his career at the moment."
