And a baby makes three!

Anne Hathaway has given birth to her first child with husband Adam Shulman. The two welcomed a baby boy named Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman early on March 24 in Los Angeles, E! News has learned exclusively. Anne's rep also confirmed the exciting news.

"The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A.," a source said. "Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents."

The Oscar winner has made no secret of the fact that she couldn't wait to become a mother in past interviews, and gushed about her hopes and dreams for her family in Vogue back in 2013.

"Oh, my God. I want to be a mother, and I anticipate loving my children quite fiercely," she shared with the fashion bible. "I think about it all the time, though it's a silly thing to think about because the kind of mother I'll be depends on the kind of children I have. I can't wait to meet them."

During her pregnancy, the award-winning star has maintained a healthy lifestyle ahead of the tiny addition. "She is still keeping healthy and active. [But] she is taking it easy though as much as she can," an insider previously told E! News.

The couple also made sure to open up their schedules and get some extra alone time together in preparing to welcome their first child.

"Anne has more time now with her husband and preparing for her baby," the source continued. "Adam has been really helpful and is so excited on the baby. Adam and Anne are doing great as a couple and this whole baby process is a bonding experience for them both. 'One baby at a time,' she says but she would not mind one more after this."

Hathaway also opened up about having kids during a press conference for the flick Rio. "I'm the only one here who's not a mother. I hope to join the ranks soon," she shared while seated at a roundtable with a number of actresses, all of them mothers.

The bubbly brunette star added: "I'm thinking about that [the paparazzi] because I really want to have a baby, and my husband and I are like, 'Where are we gonna live?'"

Hathaway and Shulman tied the knot in a romantic ceremony in front of close friends and family in Big Sur in Sept. 2012. The two started dating in late 2008 after meeting through mutual friends and by November 2011 Shulman had popped the question.

Congratulations to the new parents!
