The "Hatha-haters" had a lot of fuel after Anne Hathaway hosted the 2011 Academy Awards with James Franco, so you would think she'd want to forget about it! But the Les Misérables star is actually trying to help out this year's host, Neil Patrick Harris, by giving him some advice.

Don't worry, it's not what you think.

When the New York Times asked the star what she would tell the How I Met Your Mother actor of his upcoming honor, she said he shouldn't follow her lead.

"Do the opposite of what I did, and you'll be fine," she told the newspaper of what she would say to the star.

Although she is willing to dish one secret behind being a great host, she still doesn't want to really reminisce about her show's faux pas, saying the mistakes she and Franco made as hosts were "so obvious."

"...[The Mistake] doesn't even need to be identified," she said. "He'll be great. He's a natural host."

Oscars

The Gone Girl actor is thrilled to take on the highly pressurized role, even announcing it with a video of his bucket list, which included the Oscar job! He also released a statement that explained his excitement with even more words and even some name drops.

"It is truly an honor and a thrill to be asked to host this year's Academy Awards," the actor said. "I grew up watching the Oscars and was always in such awe of some of the greats who hosted the show. To be asked to follow in the footsteps of Johnny CarsonBilly CrystalEllen DeGeneres, and everyone else who had the great fortune of hosting is a bucket list dream come true."

Last year E! News asked NPH whether or not he would like to host the awards show and joked that the committee might never ask him—funny how things turn out!

"When they ask me?" a modest Harris said. "Someday. Who knows? That's the kind of question if you say, ‘No, I don't want to do it,' you look like a d--k. And if you say, ‘I'm dying to do it,' you look like a d--k. So you're kind of left in the middle."

Well, his patience paid off because not too long after did they tap him to be DeGeneres' follow-up, which could be intimidating itself. But Harris has some hosting experience under his belt, so we know that he'll be amazing no matter what!

The 2015 Oscars are scheduled to air Feb. 22, 2015 on ABC.
