Another remake? There must be something in the water.

Baywatch is coming to the big screen, Dwayne Johnson confirmed via Instagram. "'This is my beach bitch!' Rumors are true... we're making #BAYWATCH the movie. Edgy, raunchy and hopefully, funny as all hell. Cue slo mo running on the beach... #WhoNeedsMouthToMouth #RedShortsBeHugginABrotha," The Rock wrote.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount Pictures has hired Justin Malen to rewrite the script. Jeremy Garelick and Peter Tolan were among those who'd previously written scripts for the movie. Sean Anders and John Morris, who co-wrote the hit comedy We're the Millers, are attached to direct.

Baywatch has been in the news again as of late.

The TV series celebrated its 25th anniversary Sept. 22. Baywatch aired for 11 seasons. It starred David Hasselhoff, plus hot-bodied babes like Pamela Anderson, Traci Bingham, Yasmine Bleeth, Brooke Burns, Donna D'Errico, Erika Eleniak, Nicole Eggert, Gena Lee Nolin, Kelly Packard and Alexandra Paul. Michael Bergin, David Charvet, David Chokachi, Jeremy Jackson, Jason Momoa, Michael Newman and Jaason Simmons also co-starred.

Entertainment Tonight recently spoke with cast members, and the stars shared some behind-the-scenes secrets, including a clause in their contracts forbid the actresses from gaining or losing too much weight.

"If you did anything to gain or lose weight, etc. you were in trouble," recalled Bingham, who was on the show from 1996-1998. Eggert added: "[There] was a five pound fluctuation you couldn't go up or down."

No word yet if any of the original stars will reprise their roles in the Baywatch movie.
