The Dallas Buyers Club actor posted a selfie on his Instagram account on Tuesday with a creepy porn mustache, leading his fans to believe that he had made a terrible mistake while grooming his facial hair.
"How ya like my #stash! #selfie," he captioned the pic.
But thankfully, it was all just a prank! The Oscar winner attended the Cannes Lions festival in France on Wednesday morning with his signature scruff still intact. Whew!
The 42-year-old sat down with the Barbarian Group CEO Benjamin Palmer and shared a photo from the international event. "Speaking at #CannesLions w/ Clear Channel + Benjamin Palmer," he wrote.
During the talk, the charismatic 30 Seconds to Mars singer even invited two extremely lucky girls onstage to take a selfie with him!
The handsome actor also opened up about his feelings on women's rights.
"As some of you may know if you saw the Oscars, I was raised by a wonderful single mum. So, I'm all for women being in positions where they can actually participate and have real authority to change the world that we live in," he said. "I've worn the heels, I've put on the tights and everything else, and so I feel your pain ladies."
