Jessica Simpson's bachelorette party didn't include penis straws, male strippers or tacky sashes (thank God)—it was just a good ol'-fashioned get-together for the girls and the guys!

The bride-to-be said goodbye to her single status Sunday at The Warwick, E! News can confirm. But because Jess and fiancé Eric Johnson knew they'd have more fun together than apart, the future spouses combined their bachelorette and bachelor bashes into one super-sized celebration!

The happy couple hosted about 40 people at the fête, People reports, and guests included Jessica's mom Tina Simpson, Eric's dad, bridesmaids and groomsmen. "It wasn't about being naughty," says a pal. "They just wanted a great night out with their friends and family."

Jessica's longtime friend and bridesmaid Stephanie Terblanche explains that the couple "didn't want a traditional bachelor-bachelorette where they go off and do their own thing, because our group of friends is so close we just wanted to all be together."

"This is what we would do anyway. We would all go out, and I think that this speaks for the group," she adds. "If we are not going to be at someone's house hanging out playing beer pong, this is the closest thing to it."

The "relaxed," gimmick-free night included "fun toasts and dinner and dancing," says a pal, noting that the future Mr. and Mrs. Johnson "were just excited to have some fun and celebrate with the people they love."
