The Rolling Stones have always had a thing for country. So who better to invite onstage with them on their 50th anniversary tour than Taylor Swift

The country superstar was the surprise guest of the legendary rockers' concert at Chicago's United Center Monday night, joining Mick Jagger for a touching duet of the Stones' timeless 1965 classic "As Tears Go By."

The ballad was one of the first songs the frontman and sidekick Keith Richards wrote together. It became a hit for British singer Marianne Faithfull in 1964 before the World's Greatest Rock and Roll Band scored with it the following year.

"Filing this under 'never in my wildest dreams'.Thank you @RollingStones for inviting me to Chicago to sing with you," tweeted Swift after the show.

Jagger and company refrained from performing it live until November 2005 during their A Bigger Bang trek.

Now taking North America by storm on their 50 & Counting tour, the Stones have featured a slew of special guests at their shows including Mary J. Blige, Bruce Springsteen, Lady Gaga, Tom Waits, Katy Perry and Keith Urban among others.
