Kate Middleton is spicing things up during her pregnancy!

Like many moms-to-be, the royal has been craving spicy foods and—luckily for her!—she knows a friendly couple in her parents' village who were able to help her out with her hankering for food with a bit of a kick.

During an April visit to see her parents, Carol and Michael Middleton, in Upper Bucklebury, Berkshire, Prince William's wife stopped by a convenience shop owned by locals Hash and Chan Shingadia, where the pair were more than happy to indulge the duchess with a homemade meal.

"My wife made her curry a little while ago which she enjoyed," the shop owner told Hello! magazine about the royal. "I think she came in one day and my wife was cooking upstairs. She said it smelled lovely, so my wife gave her some to take away."

And while neither was willing to reveal exactly what Middleton walked away with, Chan did admit, "I'm vegetarian, I only cook vegetarian curry."

We hope Kate is only indulging her cravings in moderation since too much spicy food can reportedly cause heartburn in pregnant women—and we're pretty sure the mum-to-be would rather avoid any unpleasant side effects after her rocky first trimester!
