Ben Mendelsohn Wins 2016 Supporting Actor in a Drama Series Emmy for Bloodline

The actor did not attend the awards ceremony

Bloodline's Ben Mendelsohn is now an Emmy winner. The Netflix star took home his first Emmy for playing Danny Rayburn. He was previously nominated in 2015 and also received a Golden Globe nomination in 2016.

Mendelsohn did not attend the awards ceremony. 

"I'll have it at for home when you get back, Ben. Thanks," Empire star Taraji P. Henson said after announcing the award.

The other nominees in the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series were Game of Thrones stars Peter Dinklage and Kit Harington, Jon Voight of Ray Donovan, Michael Kelly of House of Cards and Better Call Saul's Jonathan Banks.

Bloodline will return for its third and final season on Netflix.
