James Corden has his eye out on the red carpet for one person and one person only: Beyoncé. The Late Late Show host, who has already taken home two Emmys and is up for another, told E! News' Giuliana Rancic that he's more than ready to welcome Beyoncé for "Carpool Karaoke."
"She's the one. I just want to get in the Beyhive," he said on the Emmys red carpet when asked if he's eyeballing any possible guests for the popular segment. "We'll try, we'll really try our best."
Corden's Late Late Show has gotten even more popular this year, but Corden said he doesn't feel like it's the CBS show's time to shine.
"I will be very surprised. I don't feel like it's our time," he said about possibly taking home the award. "I don't know if our time will ever come." Corden cited Jimmy Fallon, John Oliver and Bill Maher, his competitors in the Outstanding Variety Talk Series category, as being more deserving.
"They definitely deserve it more than we do," he said.
E! News surprised Corden with a childhood picture where the host was clad in a tie and, well, you could definitely tell it was Corden as a little boy.
"I haven't even aged that much," he said. "If you keep it chubby, you keep it youthful. That's my feeling."
