Kelly Rohrbach & Wyatt Russell Are the Rising Stars of the Maui Film Festival

The two will be honored next month in Hawaii

Kelly Rohrbach and Wyatt Russell have joined the list of honorees for this year's Maui Film Festival.

The model-turned-actress, 26, and former pro hockey player, 29, will be presented with the fest's Rising Star Awards. Rohrbach plays C.J. Parker in the upcoming big screen adaptation of Baywatch.

Russell, whose parents are Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell, was most recently seen in director Richard Linklater's Everybody Wants Some!! His latest film Folk Hero & Funny Guy will screen at the festival. (And yours truly will be moderating a Q&A with the up-and-comers!)

"Each year the Maui Film Festival makes a great effort to scan the constellation of cinema stardom to find talent in the ascendancy of their careers with an exceptional passion and drive to soar. This year, those two Rising Star honorees are Kelly Rohrbach and Wyatt Russell," festival founder and director Barry Rivers said in a statement. "We're proud to have them be a part of the Maui Film Festival ohana."

Previously announced honorees include Viola Davis, Michael B. Jordan and Bryan Cranston.

MFF kicks off June 15 at the Wailea Resort and runs through June 19.

Past award winners include Jake Gyllenhaal, Andrew Garfield, Jessica Chastain, Brie Larson, Olivia Wilde, Zac Efron, Megan Fox, Claire Danes, Lupita Nyong'o, Emma Roberts, Elizabeth Banks, Adam Driver, Laura Dern, Colin Farrell, Scott Eastwood, Garrett Hedlund and Evan Rachel Wood.
