InstagramThe pressures of prom can be overwhelming when you're just a young teen, but Ariel Winter makes it look easy.
The Modern Family star went to prom again over the weekend and made the seminal high school event look like a black tie gala in which she was the honoree. Winter donned a gorgeous, strapless mermaid-style Xcite gown that hugged her curves. She paired the dramatic black-and-white look with bright red hair, which she wore down in loose, voluminous waves.
And all of a sudden we're having déjà vu! Last year she opted for a similar lace style, but instead of going strapless she wore a navy blue gown with a plunging neckline and capped sleeves and an open back. She made our jaws drop by showing just how much she had grown up right before our very eyes!
"Dad saw me off to #prom!!" she captioned her pic from last year's event. "Love him."
The 18-year-old star brought boyfriend Laurent Claude Guadette with her as her date last year, but this year he's absent from her pictures. But like her first prom, Winter's dad was on hand at the pre-prom festivities, snapping pictures and posing with his daughter before she left to dance the night away. "Me and dad :) #prom," she captioned the cute father-daughter pic.
Even though Winter attends many star-studded Hollywood events, she has wanted nothing but normalcy from her school life. She once told Teen Vogue, "I've always wanted to go to a school dance...I hope I get asked."
Now she has been to at least three under her belt, as Winter also went to another formal last year! She and Gaudette have been the epitome of young love over the past year but solidified their cuteness when he posted a heartfelt tribute to Winter on her 17th birthday.
"Since the day we met I've had only incredible memories with you and you've affected me in ways that I will remember for the rest of my life," he gushed on Instagram. "I couldn't have a more perfect girlfriend. Everywhere I go with you I'm proud to have you by my side."
