New York City is called the city that never sleeps for a reason.

Less than 12 hours after the 2016 Met Gala ended, Tony winner Nikki M. James and Tony nominee Andrew Rannells—both of The Book of Mormon—announced the nominees for the 2016 Tony Awards live from the Diamond Horseshoe at the Paramount Hotel.

The 70th Annual Tony Awards will air live on CBS June 12 at 8 p.m. ET. As this year's host James Corden joked to E! News' Marc Malkin in February, "It might be a disaster. We'll soon find out."

Corden admitted he still has a lot of work to do before Broadway's biggest night. "People on our writing staff are like, 'What are you going to do on your week off in June?' I'm like, 'I don't have one! What am I doing?' But the best times of my life have been when I've been working in that city and being in plays," the Late Late Show host told E! News, adding, "If I could tell my 12-year-old self that this would be my life, his head would explode. So I feel very, very lucky to even be part of it in any way. I love Broadway and I love all the people involved with it, so I'm really looking forward to it."

Tony Awards tickets will not be sold to the general public this year.
