Amy Schumer and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch are winding down from Sunday's Golden Globes with a nice walk on the beach.
Hanisch shared a gorgeous photo of the beach at sunset with his comedienne girlfriend walking in front of him. "There is no place I'd rather be," he captioned the Instagram pic. Awww!
(Anybody else start singing "Rather Be" by Jess Glynne and Clean Bandit just then?)
Now that's a way to celebrate Schumer's awesome appearance at the awards show. Although she and Hanisch have been dating for a little while, the Inside Amy Schumer star waited until the New Year to introduce him to the world, also via Instagram.
We've only just become familiar with the Chicago-based furniture maker, but it looks like these two are already getting pretty serious. "We're in love and that's really exciting," Schumer told People (via JustJared) while walking the red carpet at the 2016 Golden Globes. She also said she's incredibly "proud" to share her big moments with him, but couldn't help but laugh to hear that the public is so surprised by her plus-one status.
"I've never been dating anyone that the public's really known about," she continued. "But, I like that everyone thinks I've been single my whole life. They're like, 'She got her first boyfriend!' I'm like, no, I've dated people over the years."
Well the two have at least one thing in common—it was both their first Golden Globes red carpet. Perhaps next year (if)/when Schumer and Jennifer Lawrence host—the campaign vying for them began after their joint appearance on stage Sunday—she'll bring him along. Seeing as how happy they are together, we wouldn't be surprised if we start seeing them out publicly a lot more often.
Seeing as he already took a trip to the White House with his girlfriend and her family, we have to assume she'll be keeping him around for quite some time!
