Kendra battling showdown with Hef?

Not if, but where. Do we have a showdown in the works over at Hef’s mansion?

Apparently so. Remember, Hank Baskett, Kendra Wilkinson’s fiancé, derailed Kendra and Hef’s big Girls Next Door offshoot by making a surprise proposal, which we broke. Originally, Kendra was supposed to go off, free and fierce, from the Holmby Hills Playboy Mansion, like some sort of wide-eyed sexy graduate, ready to take on swinging L.A.

“It was supposed to be Kendra being even more...Kendra,” said a source involved in the TV workings. But apparently, all is not lost, as I’m hearing Kendra’s post-Mansion TV plans are still heavily in the works, albeit slightly more domesticated. Which leaves only one prob left...

What to do about the wedding itself? Masses of press releases have been issued about how happy Hef is to be giving Kendra away at a celeb ceremony at the Mansion. Privately, however, we’ve been assured this is not the plan Kendra and Hank prefer, especially since the host is the bride’s former boyfriend.

“Not happening,” we were told early on. Then, oddly, Hank himself began telling folks that, indeed, Kendra will be given away by Hef at his Bunny pad, all glitzy stops back on. But get this: Kendra’s team still hasn’t signed off on this, at least not privately. In other words, until Kendra says it’s back to what was designed for her (as opposed to what her original preference was, being away from the Mansion), nothing is settled. Stay buxom tuned.
