Venus Williams is more than just a star tennis player. She's a college graduate!

And unlike those honorary degrees given to so many celebrities, Williams actually hit the books and earned a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Indiana University.

The tennis champ, who's into the second round so far at the U.S. Open, enrolled in the university's online degree completion program back in 2011, and on her way to a tournament in Cincinnati in August, stopped by the Richmond, Ind., campus to pick up her well-deserved diploma.

"I've learned so much," Williams stated in a press release. "It was always my dream to have a business degree, and I ended up going to art school so many times, but in the back of my head I felt like I needed the tools to be a better leader, to be a better planner, to be better at all of the things I wanted to do in my businesses because I'm so hands-on."

This newfound business savvy will surely benefit Williams' multiple endeavors, which include her own clothing line, interior design firm and even co-ownership of the Miami Dolphins football team.

The 35-year-old also earned an associate degree in fashion design from the Art Institute of Ft. Lauderdale in 2007.

For now, Williams is back on the court duking it out for a chance at her first U.S. Open title in 14 years (to go with her two other U.S. Open titles). But while victory would be sweet, she'd have to make it past little sister Serena Williams, who is favored to win her 22nd Grand Slam singles title and complete a calendar year Grand Slam.
