New mom, new look!

Kim Kardashian may have debuted a new blond style over the weekend but the star's colorist George Papanikolas from the Andy LeCompte salon says the Goldilocks makeover has been in the works for awhile.

"It's something she's wanted to do for a long time. I've been coloring her hair for a year, and she's wanted to go blonder since the day we met," he tells E! New exclusively.

North West's mom wasn't even nervous about the drastic change; in fact, she even brought photo examples of exactly what she wanted. "She was so excited. She loved it!" George shares. "It was scary for me!"

Although the star has gone blond before (in 2009), this time she went for a "golden honey blond," explains George, who had to schedule two appointments with the reality star to complete the look. "We kept it really modern and rooty." Before beginning the processes George applied Joico Color Endure Violet Sulfate-Free Shampoo and Conditioner to Kim's hair as well as Joico K-Pak Revitaluxe.  Her new 'do also included a haircut from Chris McMillan (Jennifer Aniston's mane man).

George also shared that because he did the dyeing at Kris Jenner's house: "The whole family was watching. Then, every wanted to go blonder!"

Indeed, one sister actually did. "I actually did Khloé Kardashian Odom's hair before Kim," explains George.

Now we'll just have to wait and see if Kourtney gets in on the blond action!
