Surf's up for the Smiths!

Mother-daughter duo Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith spent the day soaking up the sun in Hawaii on Friday.

The two had a fun-filled day between surfing and taking frequent dips in the ocean. The leading ladies of the Smith clan were making the most of their time together while father and son, Will and Jaden, are busy promoting their flick After Earth.

Will Smith recently opened up in an interview with Metro about what it's like to be a parent.

"We [Smith and his wife] don't do punishment," he revealed. "Our concept is, as young as possible, give them as much control over their lives as possible and the concept of punishment, our experience has been—it has a little too much of a negative quality."

With that outlook, we want Will and Jada to be our parents!
