Another Little Usher on the Way

Usher and wife Tameka Foster reportedly expecting their second child together; they're also parents to Usher Raymond V

Usher Raymond VI, anyone?

Usher (Raymond IV) is expecting his second child with wife Tameka Foster, according to several reports.

The couple are also the proud parents of 9-month-old Usher Raymond V.

The little tyke's namesake swapped vows with Foster twice last year, the first time Aug. 3, 2007, in a private civil ceremony in Atlanta, and again the following month as part of a more elaborate affair at the Chateau Elan Winery & Resort, also in Atlanta.

After denying an erroneous breakup rumor in May, Usher told Essence in July that reports that he and Foster had a shotgun wedding have pained him to no end.

"The mass media has painted a wrong picture," he said. "They think it was forced. I've heard a lot of comments like, 'Oh, she trapped him.' 'He got a baby by her, and then she's married and she's set for life.' No. She wasn't pregnant when I asked her to marry me."

A rep for the couple has not yet officially confirmed their expectant status, but Foster has been spotted in tummy-grazing outfits—the pinnacle of style for high-profile mommies-to-be.

But while his missus will be toting some extra weight around, Usher sounds as if he's walking on air.

"I'm so proud to be a father by the time I'm 30," the 29-year-old R&B superstar told People last month. "I'd hate to be 80 years old and not be able to run with my kids. I need to still be able to do flips when they're in high school!"

Always an important attribute in a dad.

The Here I Stand singer also brought some of that energy to a free concert in Manhattan's Columbus Circle last Thursday, where he joined Keith Urban and Natasha Bedingfield in kicking off the new NFL season before the New York Giants beat up on the Washington Redskins at home.

Also on tap for the smooth mover is his 15-date One-Night Stand Tour, a series of shows performed in more "intimate" venues and tailored specifically for his female fans.

"There's only a few artists that can pull that off," Usher said last week. "I feel like I've had such a connection with my audience. This album, I felt like, was definitely the type of one that was more intimate. So what better way to get up close and personal than to make it all women?"
