Tonight's Famously Single series premiere quickly got off to a dramatic start as eight single celebrities moved into a house together in the hopes of solving their dating dilemmas. Luckily, they were in the good hands of relationship expert Dr. Darcy Sterling.
"When it comes to celebrities, if you're rich, famous and attractive, and you can't find love, maybe it's time to look inside," Dr. Darcy wisely said, adding, "Dating is hard, and dating is as a celebrity is even harder."
Aubrey O'Day, Brandi Glanville, Pauly D, Calum Best, Jessica White, Josh Murray, Somaya Reece and Willis McGahee were all ready to begin the experiment and reverse their poor track record in love. Get the recap below to find out what happened!
After the celebs arrived, Dr. Darcy immediately got the ball rolling by challenging them to a hilarious speed dating exercise to break the ice. "Speed dating is a great way to see what information people share and what information they choose to hold back," she explained.
First, Brandi realized that she and Calum already shared a connection from their past. "Calum, this super-hot guy, we hung out for probably two years," she said. "He's basically banged all my friends."
Meanwhile, now-couple Aubrey and Pauly met for the first time and she swiftly put him on the spot by asking about his sexual history. "How many girls have you slept with?" she inquired. "Can you give me a rough estimate?"
"Oh, man," he responded. "There are a lot of auditions to find the right one. I haven't found her yet."
Aubrey was less than impressed with that answer. "Pauly's the complete opposite of anyone I've ever dated," she said. "There isn't a lot of substance there and, honestly, I'm not interested."
Later, Pauly met with Dr. Darcy for his first one-on-one session. She began the conversation by asking about his last relationship. "A real relationship, where I feel like it lasted more than a year type thing, would be high school and coming out of it a little bit," the 35-year old replied.
"Really, you haven't had a relationship since high school?!" she asked, shocked.
"Correct. Like, my mother hasn't met anyone since then," Pauly responded. "It was great. She was awesome, a really nice girl and then what she wanted at that time was all of me and I wasn't ready to give all of me, I guess."
He then admitted he's never been in love. "I don't think so because I would know, right?" he asked.
"I think you'd know," Dr. Darcy agreed. She then recommended the type of woman he needs to be with. "Probably your lifestyle would require a really, grounded secure woman who has got her own life and totally wants you be dialed up as bright and as loud as you can be and wouldn't want to dim your light whatsoever," she told him.
"It's not that I can't find a girl because there's plenty," Pauly revealed. "It's finding one that wants to be with me for the right reasons because people want to be in the limelight too."
While the group prepared for their first night out together, Pauly finally explained to Calum, Josh and Willis how one of his famous lines from Jersey Shore came to be.
"The girls took so long to get ready, like it was so long," he said. "The guys are already ready. We're on the couch ready. I'm like, 'Oh, s--t, the cabs are here.' The girls didn't care, still curling their hair, straightening their hair. The club closed at 2. It's like midnight. It's time to go. Like, the guys were ready at ten. I'm like, 'Yo, THE CABS ARE HERE!' It was the only way to get them going. They were like, 'Oh, just to shut this kid up, let's go.'" LOL!
And the rest is history!
As the celebs continued to get more familiar with each other, they hit up a club for a night out. "We're going out tonight and I want to bond with the house and really get to know everyone in a social setting," Aubrey said. "It should be interesting." Well, interesting is an understatement...
Once the drinks started flowing, the stars began mixing and mingling with the other clubbers. "When I drink, I like to have fun," Willis confessed. "I flirt a little. Everybody flirts." But he took it too far when he invited a woman to join him in the bathroom for some private "fun" after only talking to her for a few minutes!
Back in the VIP, a handsome man approached Aubrey and struck up a conversation. But after several moments, she quickly walked away and left him behind. "We had a nice exchange, but it's really difficult for me to trust someone's intentions," she explained. "Usually, they approach me for the wrong reasons. Either because they know me or cause they think I'm hot."
Meanwhile, Brandi was busy chatting with a man in the group's VIP area. Unfortunately, Pauly immediately took offense with his outfit. "Yo, you can't wear a pink shirt and come into our VIP!" he told him. Then, Pauly dissed his shoes. "What are thooose? What are thooose? What are thooooose?" he repeatedly asked while pointing and laughing.
Somaya thought it was hilarious, but Brandi was pissed. "We have to be a little sweeter to strangers," she scolded both of them.
Nevertheless, Somaya eventually got annoyed with Pauly's antics and asked the guy, "Can you do me a favor? Please get the f--k away from our table. No disrespect, but he's going to keep talking s--t about you."
Brandi was shocked Somaya would do that someone so she confronted her as soon as they left the club. "That's called a bully," Brandi said. "You don't treat people like that."
"Hold on," Somaya responded before taking off her coat. "Don't talk to me crazy. Are you talking to me crazy right now? Because I'm not the one."
"Don't treat people like that!" Brandi yelled. "That is bulls--t!"
"I'm not the bitch to f--k with!" Somaya replied, before Brandi shouted back, "Neither am I!"
The ladies came this close to getting physical until Pauly and Josh pulled them apart and put them in separate cars to go home. But Aubrey was highly entertained by the altercation.
"I love watching fights. There's something really entertaining about watching two crazies go head to head," she confessed. "I don't know who's right or wrong, but I'm going to take Somaya's side with it just cause we're not in Kansas anymore, Brandi. You may be able to throw paws at the housewives, but I wouldn't do it with Somaya."
The next day, Dr. Darcy brings the group together to recap their eventful night. She revealed they were involved in a secret social experiment at the bar to evaluate their behavior connecting with strangers! "Last night, you had an opportunity to meet lots of new people, two of whom happened to be your dating coaches," she said.
The celebs started freaking out thinking about who their coaches could be. Somaya and Pauly were especially worried it could be the man in the pink shirt! Guess we'll have to wait until next week to find out...
