E!It's an EJNYC homecoming!
On Wednesday night's latest episode, EJ and sister Elisa Johnson visit dad Magic Johnson's hometown of Lansing, Michigan to see their family and learn a little bit more about their father's upbringing. The siblings and mom Cookie Johnson also make time to give back to the community and help the people affected by the Flint water crisis.
Back in New York, Elisa's best friend, Maya McHenry, deals with even more issues in her relationship with Nick, while Drew Mac and Sanaz Panahi bond during a sightseeing tour of the Big Apple.
Recap the episode with these top five must-see moments!
1. College Life: EJ and Elisa's first stop upon arriving in Michigan is a local college bar that is definitely outside their comfort zone. "No one has on heels!" Elisa notices. "Everyone's in a sneaker!" While they sit and stare in disbelief, a female student walks over to their table to chat up EJ! "Only in Michigan do I get hit on by a girl," he says. "I was trying to have a casual conversation with her and then she just started touching me in weird places. She was really drunk."
2. Breakfast Biscuits: Elisa reveals her intense love for biscuits while she and EJ reunite with their grandparents and aunts for a family breakfast. "For breakfast, I love biscuits cause they're fluffy!" she says. "And they're warm! And I love them with jam!" Elisa's affection for biscuits prompts EJ to lament his carb-free diet. LOL!
3. Pay It Forward: After taking a tour of Magic's old stomping grounds, EJ, Elisa and Cookie volunteer to help the victims of the Flint water crisis by distributing food and bottled water. "I think that we all just need to get involved with things that we are personally passionate about and personally a part of," EJ explains. "If you want to talk about clean water, well you need to get over there and see some s--t. Get involved! My family helps low-income communities because they came from low-income communities."
4. Bottoms Up: Elisa returns to NYC just in time for a night out with her girls. But before hitting the town, the ladies warm up with the classic game of "Never Have I Ever" that proves Elisa has made a sex tape and "lusted" after BFF Samaria Smith's dad, LL Cool J. She also shares some, um, interesting insight about anal sex!
5. Love Connection: After her messy breakup with Anthony, Elisa is back in the game with a new love interest named Jarrod, who she meets up with at a bar. "[He's] a guy that I met recently," she explains. "Jarrod is driven and he's focused and he's super ambitious, which is like probably the hottest thing ever."
Meanwhile, Maya makes a connection…with someone other than her boyfriend, Nick! She is extremely distraught about what to do, but decides to confess to kissing another guy. Nick takes the news about as well as can be expected, but says he's not sure he wants to continue with the relationship. Yikes!
