The City of Lights has a heart of darkness for successful actress Jeanne Balibar, who returns home to Paris as the star of an Italian theater company. Still feeling burned by an old flame, she is faced with a choice between her ex, Professor Pompous, and the new guy, Director Dour. But, of course, nothing's that simple in a French movie. Before too long, we have a duel with quarts of vodka, a lover locked in a closet and a sexy jewel heist.
