Under the Tuscan Sun

There are few things more beautiful than the Tuscan countryside. Luckily for movie audiences, Unfaithful's Diane Lane happens to be one of them. And combining the two in this picturesque, romantic winner makes for quite a feast for the eyes. Lane is a heartbroken, newly divorced San Francisco writer who, desperate for a drastic change in life, spontaneously buys a home in Italy during a two-week vacation there.
The rich European ambience--from the fresh foods to fresh men--recharges her batteries, but nothing goes exactly as planned, and Lane is left to figure out her priorities. Even though the story has the depth of a cheap romance novel, Lane's sultry charm adds much-needed personality and humor. Under the Tuscan Sun ends like a warm, sun-drenched Italian postcard. So, be ready to book a flight to Europe after the flick--or at least spring for some good Chianti.
