More like, Stay Away. Mixing elements of The Ring with a particularly bad episode of Beverly Hills, 90210, this film concerns a mysterious videogame that kills off its players in lethally predictable fashion: If somebody dies in the game, they die in the real world. Yawn. Unfortunately, the PG-13 rating means Stay Alive lacks the shocks of your average horror game, which is kind of a problem when you consider this crappy videogame movie would make an even crappier videogame.
And since the characters are killed off in roughly descending order of entertainment value, Stay Alive does have one thing in common with its digital counterparts: It's a test of endurance few will survive.
