Imagine Charlie's Angels in Cantonese--with the Angels fighting each other! Now get your mind out of the gutter, and you'll be in the same ballpark as Transporter director Corey Yuen's stiletto-heel-kicking Hong Kong action flick. The trouble starts when two beautiful assassins (Qi Shu, Zhao Wei) meet their match in a female forensics detective (Karen Mok).
Meanwhile, powerful, ruthless corporate bosses want to control all of them and will stop at nothing to do so (enter maniacal laugh here). Not that the plot matters much. This movie is really just an excuse to showcase impossible stunts, slow-motion hair-flipping, gunplay and wire-based kung fu--the women even do back flips while relaxing at home! So, while it's completely silly, it's never dull. And a Carpenters-heavy score makes it all that much more...weird. It's like it came straight from the guilty-pleasure heavens.
