Dancing With the Stars professional dancer Jenna Johnson, now part of the dance troupe on the ABC series, is taking you behind the scenes of season 25.
Last week was spooky, scary, and so much fun! I thought everybody's dances were strong and very entertaining. That Monday morning had been pretty stressful because Lindsey Stirling had seriously injured her ribs throughout the week. During dress rehearsals she was in major pain so I had to learn Team Monster Mash's routine within minutes and had to dance it for her. Thankfully, during the show the adrenaline kicked in and she nailed both her paso doble and team dance!
And how crazy was that double elimination?? We all knew that a double elimination was coming, but we weren't sure if it was going to happen that night. I for one was definitely not expecting that outcome. I've been OBSESSED with Nikki Bella from day one and thought she had finale potential for sure! I also did NOT expect Vanessa Lachey and Maksim Chmerkovskiy to go that soon either, but this show has never been predictable right?
As it goes every week, there are whispers throughout the day of the show about what possibly is going to happen and who may be going home.
It is always hard to say goodbye after eliminations, but we all stay in touch afterward. It's hard not to stay in touch after spending so much time together, you become like family throughout the weeks and genuine friendships are formed. Just because someone goes home doesn't mean we lose all our love for that person! Plus, we get to see everyone back in just two weeks for the finale!
Tonight's theme, trio week, is going to be amazing with all the returning celebs, we definitely have some fan favorites back in the ballroom! It's been so much fun to see their faces back at the studio rehearsing.
Having them on set has added some awesome energy and it's been a fun new dynamic. I think the way the trio teams ended up are quite perfect for one another. I've been spying on some of the trios at rehearsals and all I have to say is, WOW! All of you are in for a treat this week. I don't want to spoil too much, but I think everyone's minds will be blown by Jordan Fisher, Corbin Bleu and Lindsay Arnold's trio performance... holy cannoli! Their salsa dance is everything. I caught up with a few of the teams to see how their week has been going in the behind-the-scenes video above, check it out!
P.S. Don't miss Rashad Jennings bench pressing me…I'm still a little shocked he actually did that so effortlessly. Enjoy tonight's show, it's going to be one for the books!
