Gigantic: A Tale of Two Johns

For the better part of two decades, geeky New Englanders John Flansburgh and John Linnell have been making darkly cerebral music, cool bargain-basement videos and wry Internet stuff, all under the moniker of They Might Be Giants. Their quirky odyssey has been captured in a documentary that's as heavy on laughs as it is on humble pie. While heartfelt testimonials from others are all about flattering the dynamic duo, the two are as meek about their success as a couple of supplicating altar boys headed for the confessional.
When told that TMBG is the biggest alt-pop band ever, a deadpan Flansburgh replies, "That's like being the world's tallest midget." Enjoy the accolades, guys. As Gigantic proves, you've earned every one of 'em.
