Who knew there was any blood left to squeeze out of these two undying franchises? Yet, there's plenty of the red stuff--but not much else to enjoy--when Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger face off. The disfigured couple hooks up when a powerless Freddy enlists Jason to start hacking the kids on his block.
But their killer egos get in the way, and the two end up facing off, glove to machete. Hong Kong filmmaker Ronny Yu brings some cool visuals into the mix and Robert Englund's Freddy one-liners work at times, but the clunky script and action is more laughable than frightening. And just about everything's a cliché. So, who's the winner? Maybe Halloween psycho Michael Myers should call his agent right about now for a three-way.
