Well, despite their claims of inspiring tour-bus nudity, you never actually get to see the members of the Barenaked Ladies get totally, um, barenaked--emotionally or (thank goodness) physically. But any rockumentary that begins with a bandmember chatting away while on the toilet is sure to make some kind of a splash. Filmmaker (and, oh yeah, 90210 heartthrob) Jason Priestley tags along with this hardworking Canadian band's American tour following the hit status of their song "One Week," vaults them into the U.
S. big time after years of trying. Smart, funny and musically irrepressible, the Nakeds are born entertainers. And though the shtick sometimes gets thick (and the film occasionally drifts toward the superficial), these engaging gents--and the funny cameos by Jon Stewart, Jeff Goldblum and Conan O'Brien--will ultimately win over even the most hardened critic.
