The Texas Chainsaw Massacre

Nearly 30 years after the original hit the screen, being chased around dark places by a chainsaw-wielding lunatic who is wearing another person's face is still a pretty darn scary proposition. Classic horror flick clichés are embraced when a vanload of pot-smoking, horny and attractive young people (Jessica Biel, Eric Balfour, etc.) are trapped in a small, out-of-the-way place and dramatically slain by a psychotic killer.
Director Marcus Nispel keeps the chain(saw) of events dark, as the victims encounter the nut-job townsfolk and face off with the movie's infamous killer, Leatherface (who, in case you didn't already know, kills people and wears their mugs as masks). There are plenty of scream-worthy moments, lots of blood and gore and a badass Biel, who takes charge as the movie's strong female hero. So, if you're into this stuff, it's a fun, scary time.
