Would anyone really have faith in a priest whose nickname is SpaghettiOs? Even if said priest looked just like Heath Ledger--which he does here--it's would hard to get with anything that comes from this poorly executed papal-conspiracy horror flick. Ledger plays a rogue father investigating the mysterious death of his mentor and the legend of something called the Sin Eater.
From the casting to the plot to the monologues that come off sounding like SNL jokes, everything here is just plain sloppy. And when we finally get to see the much-discussed Sin Eater special effects, it all looks like a bunch of sentinels from The Matrix. Oh, and there are creepy hell orphans chasing the good guys through the streets of Rome. Pray that your friends don't force you to see this.
