The Medallion

This piece of junk jewelry is a bunch of Hong Kong hooey. Jackie Chan plays another generic karate cop paired with another inept, fast-talking partner (British comedian Lee Evans) on the tail of another bad guy with an accent (Julian Sands in a role he sleepwalks through). They're all after a medallion with special powers and must go to Ireland to fight over it.
There, Chan is reunited with Interpol agent Claire Forlani, who we are supposed to believe is a former flame despite their complete lack of chemistry. Then, both Chan and Sands die and are reanimated, leading to over-the-top, time-space continuum freak-out fight sequences and cheap CGI. The film flip-flops between action and screwball comedy, reeks of direct-to-DVD dopiness and has more bad one-liners than an episode of Becker.
