This ain't no snow job. Sir Ernest Shackleton and crew's ill-fated Antarctic journey of 1914 stands as a testament to grace under pressure, and this documentary makes one appreciate the achievement (and miracle, really) all the more. Adding to the raft of tomes already out there about the voyage (which had the explorers shipwrecked in frigid open ocean for two years), this gripping tale is told through archival footage and stills salvaged from expedition photographer Frank Hurley's cameras.
Though narrator and Jedi Knight Liam Neeson's commentary dawdles a bit along the way, trust us, this adventure won't leave you cold.
