Everything seems to be going Emily VanCamp's way.
The Lela Rose-clad actress walked the red carpet Monday at the Fox Upfronts, held at Central Park's Wollman Rink in New York City. It marked her first public appearance since getting engaged to Josh Bowman late last week. E! News caught up with VanCamp at the event, who said life as a bride-to-be is "good." Of course, as she pointed out, "It's only been a couple days."
Even so, the 31-year-old actress said, "It's wonderful."
VanCamp was at the event to promote her new series The Resident with co-stars Matt Czuchry, Manish Dayal and Bruce Greenwood. "What a magical week, right?" Czuchry said. "The show gets picked up, [she gets] engaged—unbelievable." In fact, VanCamp said the timing couldn't have been better. "We got engaged and then two hours later they called to say our show's picked up—and it was my birthday. It was like a triple celebration. It was really beautiful," she said. "It was crazy. I haven't slept in days, so I can't be held accountable for anything that I say!"
Has she done any planning yet? "Not in the slightest," she said. "Just enjoying the moment!"
Bowman didn't join his fiancée on the red carpet. The couple began dating in 2011 after they met on the set of the ABC drama Revenge; the popular series ended in 2015 after four seasons.
