The true crime wave continues, and this one kinda looks like a must-see.

ABC just released a trailer for its newest true crime documentary with the incredible and lengthy title of Truth and Lies: The Menendez Brothers—American Sons, American Murderers, and it may be exactly the thing we need to usher in 2017.

The special is a deep dive into the life and crimes of the Lyle and Erik Menendez, who confessed to having killed their wealthy parents in 1989. The trailer is packed with everything you need from a true crime documentary: old interviews, new interviews with Lyle Menendez from prison, the promise of secrets, funky music, Erik's modeling shots, and random experts weighing on what they would do if they killed their parents.

It's a smorgasbord of true crime perfection, honestly.

The official description of the two-hour special promises to uncover the "hidden clues of the Menendez family's descent into hell," which includes home movies and photos, as well as testimony from friends who were close to the family and people who worked on the case, which was apparently the actual trial of the century. Plus, we get to find out about Erik's secret life!

And don't take our flippant description of this magnificent trailer as a sign that we're not legitimately excited about this, because we've already canceled all of our Thursday night plans and invited all of our friends over to watch with us.

Are you excited too? Sound off in the comments!

Truth and Lies: The Menendez Brothers—American Sons, American Murderers airs Thursday, January 5 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
