Will & Grace lives again—maybe. Just weeks after the cast reunited for an election-themed video rumors started swirling that Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes would reunite for a proper NBC revival. While on Watch What Happens Live, Mullally gave an update.

"Well, there's some interest and people have been talking and there's some rumors…From what I can tell, a lot of people really want the show to come back, so we'll see what happens," Mullally told host Andy Cohen.

Mullally posted a group photo of her Will & Grace stars on Instagram recently. "Who are these nerds with their little desserts? and why are they always together," she asked and tagged her costars on Instagram.

Regarding the election reunion special, Mullally said it was "crazy" to reunite. "It was kind of like we had just been away for the weekend," she said. "The best part really was that it was all the same people, not just the cast. Jim Burrows the director, the costume designer, the lighting designer, the set designer, the writer—I mean, everybody the same. The camera operators!"

In an interview with TV Insider, McCormack, who stars in Netflix's upcoming Travelers, also confirmed revival talks were indeed under way.

"Well, you know what? The four of us were so surprised that Max [Mutchnick, Will & Grace co-creator] called us up and said, ‘OK, don't ask how, but I've got the set and everything, so let's do something and help the cause.' It was so much fun to do and the response was so huge. And it's kind of amazing too that between [director] Jimmy Burrows and our set decorators, they made it look like an episode of the show," he said of the election-themed reunion. "So, when NBC came back and said, ‘Is there more to this?' the talk right now is that we are sort of in talks [for] maybe something limited, a little 10 episodes...but it's going to be awhile before we can figure it out. I'm the only one with a [regular] series, but the other three could have a series at any moment. So, it is a very hard thing to schedule but we're certainly all into it."

McCormack's comment confirms the 10-episode order that was rumored when revival talks first started. However, Mullally joked it would be a much different structure. "I have no idea, it would probably be like a 12-part miniseries with each installment being four hours long," she teased Cohen.

TV revivals are all the rage. Netflix recently brought back Gilmore Girls with great success. Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life premiered Friday, Nov. 25 with positive reviews from fans and critics. Fox brought back The X-Files for a six-episode season in early 2016. Both revivals had the original series stars and producers attached, as does Will & Grace.

(E! and NBC are both part of the NBCUniversal family.)
