And we're off to the races, indeed.

While many are rejoicing that the third and final presidential debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump is behind us, we're going to miss the Saturday Night Live version of events.

Tom Hanks, hosting SNL for the ninth time, joined the fray as moderator Chris Wallace, there to make sure that Alec Baldwin's Trump and Kate McKinnon's Clinton touched on all the highlights from this past week's debate.

"Tonight is going to be a lot like the third Lord of the Rings movie," Hanks said in introducing the show's cold open. "You don't really want to watch, but hey, you've come this far."

"Hello, Chris," McKinnon offered. "In the first debate, I set the table. In the second debate, I fired up the grill. And tonight, I fest."

NBC

Baldwin countered, "I'm going to start this debate in the quietest voice possible. In the past, I have been big and loud, but tonight I am a sweet little baby Trump."

"That is good to hear," Hanks replied. "Our first question is for you and it is about reproductive rights—"

"They're ripping babies out of vaginas!" Baldwin interjected, and that pretty much set the tone for the rest of the sketch.

The trio took on all of the actual debates hot-button moments, from the aforementioned bit to Trump calling Clinton a "nasty woman."

A comment which, in SNL Land, you can now get emblazoned on a limited-edition mug.

When McKinnon started to recount Clinton's last 30 years of public service, her drop-the-mic moment coming when she mentioned taking out Bin Laden, Baldwin fired back.

NBC

"Chris, she can brag about her resume, but I'm the one who's got all the heavy hitters supporting me. I mean, I have got the cream of the crop. I've got Sarah Palin. I've got Chachi. Get this, I've even got the best Baldwin brother.

"Stephen Baldwin."

Live from New York, that's Saturday night.
